Leadership in Diverse Organizations (Z131)
Graduate Certificate Program
College: Behavioral & Social Sciences
abstract
In the 21st century, law enforcement, public safety, and organizational and business leaders are tasked with juggling administrative and fiscal responsibilities as well as having the ability to deal with growing challenges related to equity and inclusion. Many public and private organizations are currently working on the development of strategies to meet these challenges and are searching for leaders who have the skill set and credentials to sufficiently deliver on strategic planning promises. One of the biggest skill sets may be the ability for leaders to assess and evaluate their organization and provide innovative recommendations to change organizational and cultural norms. The Certificate in Leadership in Diverse Organizations, operated by the Department of Sociology, will provide students with the credentials to be the type of leader that organizations and businesses are seeking.
