Bias Incident Support Services (BISS) is a team under the Office of Diversity and Inclusion that is charged with addressing hate-bias incidents targeting UMD students, faculty and staff. The program responds to incidents with trauma-informed care, collects and shares data about hate-bias incidents, and educates the campus community about identity-based trauma and its impact. If you have been affected by bias, you can submit a bias report to BISS or email to receive support.
