Program Director: Minglang Zhou, Ph.D.

The 15-credit minor in the Chinese language will provide students with a sophisticated understanding of Chinese linguistic knowledge and intermediate-level Chinese language skill. Students attempting this minor will need a strong background in Chinese at the level of CHIN101 and CHIN102/CHIN103, which are prerequisites for some of the required courses. This minor will be of particular relevance to students with a broad interest in learning the Chinese language. Students interested in taking this minor program should contact the Chinese advisor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures.
