Portuguese Language, Literature, and Culture Minor

This 15-credit minor will provide students with a solid overview of the linguistic, literary, and cultural aspects of Portuguese-speaking countries, with an emphasis on Brazil.

Prerequisite: PORT104 and PORT204 (or equivalent)

|Special Topics in Portuguese Literature|
|Special Topics in Brazilian Literature|
|Themes and Movements of Luso-Brazilian Literature in Translation 1|
- A maximum of 6 credits may be applied to the minor from courses taken at other institutions.
- A maximum of 9 credits may be applied from a University of Maryland Study Abroad program.
- All courses must be passed with a grade of C- or better.
- An overall GPA of 2.0 in the minor is required for graduation.
